Last thursday, november 23th, more than 100 students of degree, master and Phd programmes of the Department of Humanities of Università di Catania followed the conference given by the Professor in History of Art in Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Manuel Castiñeiras, about the Skylitzes Matritensis. An illuminated Byzantine manuscript realized in Sicily in the Normand period, 12th century.
Moreover, the conference took place in a venue of luxury, the ex-monastery benedectine of Catania, a building declared Heritage of Humanity by #UNESCO and in particular in the room called Coro di Notte.
The conference is included into the results and investigations of the research project #MALIBUS which is going on in collaboration withq #IPCE and the Biblioteca Nacional de España
