Ana Albar Ramírez is a senior technician in chemical analysis and control. From 1989 to 2008, she was a permanent employee at the Doping Control Laboratory of the Consejo Superior de Deportes, Ministry of Education and Science. From 2008, she is member of the material analysis laboratory of the Research and Training Area of the Spanish Cultural Heritage Institute (IPCE), in which she carries out material analysis by electron microscopy, identification of inorganic pigments -mainly in polished paint and polychrome samples-, and also in the application of electron microscopy to the study of mordants in fibers and quantitative analysis of metallic threads. She coordinates the database of samples which are analyzed in the laboratory to be subsequently archived.
