Julia Montero holds a degree in Chemistry from the Complutense University of Madrid and is a Radioactive Facilities Supervisor specialized in Process Control and Analytical Techniques.
She is currently part of the Materials Analysis Department at IPCE, where she works on the determination of chemical composition using several spectroscopic techniques (XRF, SEM-EDX, FTIR), which are applied to every kind of Cultural Heritage. For several years she worked in the Biodeterioration department of the IPCE on the influence of deterioration caused by microorganisms on works with organic and inorganic supports.
She has also collaborated in research projects with different institutions.
